New York based Phillip Lim is iconic in it's contribution to Womenswear and Menswear throughout the years. Throughout its 14-year history, the brand has continued to evolve its positioning in the ever-changing fashion landscape to continue as a leader in American fashion.
Phillip Lim is the latest fashion brand to announce that it will be dropping fur from its collections from autumn/winter 2019. This includes banning fur and exotic skins, such as fox, mink, lynx, chinchilla, astrakhan/karakul lamb and exotic skins including python, alligator, crocodile and lizard, from the labels ready-to-wear and accessory collections, effective immediately. As well as using leathers and shearling that are understood to be a by-product of the meat trade. They recognise they have a footprint, but offsetting it with small gestures will amount to a grand shift.
